Recently, DVC STEM released a "2023 Comprehensive Overview of Stem cell therapy", which details the content of stem cell therapy science, scope of application, stem cell anti-aging, treatment of chronic diseases and other aspects, and obtained PubMed review evidence support.

What are stem cells and stem cell therapy?

Stem cells are a class of undeveloped cells in the organism, with self-replicating ability and multi-differentiation potential, which can develop into many different types of cells in the body, and can differentiate into some specific types of cells, so as to replace damaged or diseased cells and repair multiple systems in the body.

‍Stem cell therapy is a form of regenerative medicine, is the culture of stem cells or their derivatives, input or implantation into the human body, through anti-inflammatory, immune system regulation, signal transduction and differentiation properties and other mechanisms, stimulate the body's own healing process, and repair damaged cells or tissues in the body, to achieve anti-aging, treatment or prevention of disease purposes.

Where do stem cells come from?

Stem cells can be obtained from a variety of sources, and there are three common clinical types:

1. Embryonic stem cells: derived from embryonic tissue;

2. Adult stem cells: derived from fully developed tissues, such as umbilical cord tissue, adipose tissue, bone marrow, skin, dental pulp, etc.

3. induced pluripotent stem cells: modified in the laboratory, are similar to embryonic stem cells adult stem cells.

How are stem cells administered?

Stem cells can be treated with a variety of dosing methods, commonly including the following:

1. Venous transfusion

The clinical application is more extensive, and the cell fluid needs to be shaken well during the transfusion to avoid cell adhesion, and the transfusion can be completed in about 40 to 60 minutes.

2. Intrathecal injection

Also called subarachnoid injection, that is, through the form of lumbar puncture, the drug is injected into the subarachnoid space, often used to treat stroke, Parkinson's disease and other neurological diseases.

3. Local injection

The prepared stem cells are injected directly into the knee, hand and other areas that need treatment. For example, patients with knee osteoarthritis are often given intra-articular injections. If you want to know more about stem cell administration.

What chronic diseases can stem cells prevent?

Research shows that stem cell therapy can be used to treat a variety of chronic diseases, although not necessarily cure these diseases, but may improve the body's function, help improve the quality of life of patients and slow the process of many diseases.

Stem cells will also age, often replenished to maintain the "frozen age"

IMG_259

The body may be around 30 years old and 50 years old, ushering in two "cliff aging", as we are exponentially aging, the number and effectiveness of stem cells also begin to decline, the body gradually enters the twilight, and then appear facial aging, physical function decline, hair loss and a series of aging performance.

As we all know, the cell is the basic unit of the structure and function of the organism, if the cell regeneration ability is strong, the process of cell decline is less than the regeneration ability, it will theoretically delay or block the process of aging. Stem cells have the ability to self-renew, and can differentiate into new cells, help to maintain the dynamic balance of growth and decline of tissues and organs, achieve the purpose of anti-aging from the root, and improve facial wrinkles, resistance decline, hair loss, color spots and other aging manifestations caused by aging.

Peroration

If there is a measure of life, it must be the "length of cells", in recent years with the continuous development of regenerative medicine, stem cell-led regenerative therapy may become the key to prolong human life in the future, once many incurable diseases, may also be prevented by advanced stem cell therapy.
